One or more missing teeth
An implant replaces the root as well as the crown, so it does not rely on the neighbouring teeth for support.
Loose or uncomfortable dentures
Two to four implants can anchor a denture so it stays firmly in place.
A tooth that cannot be saved
If a tooth is badly broken or infected, we can plan the implant before it is removed.
What we check first
Healthy gums, enough bone and good general health. Smoking and uncontrolled diabetes slow healing, and we will discuss both openly.
Every step is explained before it happens, and you can pause at any point.

A cone beam CT scan shows the bone in three dimensions. Dr. Okafor plans the exact position and a surgical guide is made from the plan.

Under local anaesthetic, the titanium implant is placed through the guide. Most patients go home with a temporary tooth.

Over the following months the bone bonds to the implant. You eat normally, avoiding very hard food on that side.

We scan the healed implant and fit a porcelain crown shaded to match your neighbouring teeth.

Results and aftercare /
Aftercare
Expect mild swelling for two to three days. Cold packs and the pain relief we recommend help.
Eat soft food for the first week and avoid chewing directly on the implant.
Keep the area clean with a soft brush and the rinse we give you.
Clean around the finished crown daily, like a natural tooth, and keep your regular hygiene visits.

The procedure is done under local anaesthetic, so you feel pressure but not pain. Afterwards most patients manage with over-the-counter pain relief and are back at work the next day.
Usually three to four months from placement to final crown, over two to three visits. If you need a bone graft first, we tell you at the planning stage.
Age alone is rarely the issue. What matters is your bone, your gum health and your general health, which we assess at the consultation.
